 Seriously, my boyfriend referred to Edaurdo from The Social Network as "the accountant one" and I was outraged on his behalf.  

 

YOU GUYS thank you so, so much for all of your lovely comments at my love meme thread, seriously, I am verklempt. I keep going back and reading them, thank you anons and not so anons, you consistently brighten my day and I would like to snuggle you all to me. I think I caught everyone else's threads but if not lmk! What, it's not like I was being super mysterious with my comments.

 

Things are still kind of sucky with Real Life, which involves a lot of mooching around the house by myself punctuated by going for long walks in the park down the street. The lack of structure in my life has got slightly concerning. 

 

Yesterday

 Me: Huh, it's Wednesday but I don't remember what happened Tuesday. 

Me:*ponders*

Me: Oh well! Must have just lost a day *carries on*

 

Today

Me: So I'll see you tomorrow!

Boyfriend: No, Friday.

Me: No, because. Oh. OH. Is today Wednesday?

Boyfriend: Yes... I think you need to get out more.

 

So that was alarming! But on the plus side I have a new phone which is lovely and functional and so very shiny! I may just refer to it as The Upgrade.

 

On a related note, a couple of people have asked what "SPAU" is. Which is really a reflection of how little I use the actual title of anything I write. It stand for SteamPunkAlternateUniverse, or the fic that I am (still, mother of god, what is wrong with me) writing. It's actually called And The Sky Is Limitless and I am currently mired in Part 5 of 6. If you like airships, banter about tea-making and people being stupid about the things and people that they love feel free to check it out :)? :D?

 

The main issue I am having (apart from the fact that writing feelings is hard, who knew) is that I've got really into this one fictional universe and can't think outside of it. I know there was a time when I couldn't move for plot bunnies and so it's really disconcerting to only be able to think of one story and not be able to come up with ideas for anything outside of SPAU (see).

 

Hopefully this will sort itself out because coming up I have thesocialbbang and pod_together

brimtoast bought him for me in Chinatown and he has three friends who now live in various parts of the USA. He was with a stand of Mario figures and pandas and cartoon creatures but we have no idea what he actually is. Apart from adorable, naturally. Both me and brimtoast 's boyfriend came to the conclusion that he looks like the simple dog from Hyperbole and A Half, with his little :/ face of confusion.

 

Do any of you recognise him from anything or is he just a Mysterious Blue Thing of Cute?

I have actually written a tiny bit of tsnbb that I don't hate today \o/ so it appears that my capacity to write other characters is not completely deadened. But thank you, thank you love, it is nice to have someone who has Been There and Done That.

I am extremely aware of how much I owe you beta on SPAU. Reading the rest of The Book Thief and finishing SPAU are my TOP life priorities right now (besides working and also preparing for my demo lesson on Tuesday). I am failing at them miserably. But hopefully after a bit of napping I will make some progress on one or both of them tonight. And tomorrow I will maybe leave my work on *time* so I can make even more progress.

I am listening to all the mixes now, ahhhhh so much loveliness! As I am typing this comment, Kris Allen is telling me that he's got soul but he's not a soldier, so <333. Also if you haven't gotten to mine yet, might I modify it a bit to add the request "SONGS THAT REMIND YOU OF SPACE" because I really should be getting some work done on my Bigbang art skajfhkjasfh rough draft is due on June 1st and what I have is like ...not even deserving the moniker rough. Mostly it is because timezones are defeating me and Andy, 14 hours is such a fucking hassle :////

I have also actually lost days where it wasn't just a case of me mixing up the dates (that happened once or twice in uni, ahem ahem), which is why I am a firm believer of keeping notes in my paper agenda, even if it sometimes just amounts of listing what I watched/read that day and if I went to the gym or not. And okay, I sometimes let a backlog pile up, but finally hunkering down to complete entries and stick random bobs like entrance tickets or flyers to things and being able to pinpoint what you did say, two months ago is ridiculously satisfying. My problem is now that I have gaping holes in my agenda for the last few months of 2010, and I still can't quite make myself touch the random notes etc I have shoved in there for the distant future where I was supposed to complete it and jhejhaakhfajsk. No.

Percival is adorable though and honestly he reminds me of the weird air con sprites/mascot characters for one of the Japanese air con brands we have plastered on billboards here. I will keep an eye peeled the next time I am out and about in the home electronics section and will keep you posted if I make any discoveries then XDD

Look at me sneaking onto lj! XD I am downloading Doctor Who and IDEK, I just felt like throwing caution to the wind and logging on. IF YOU NEVER HEAR FROM ME AFTER THIS IT'S BECAUSE A TROJAN STOLE MY LJ. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT FOR THIS POST BECAUSE OMG SO MUCH LOVELY! Percival! He is adorable! And epic podfic challenges which just omg do not tempt me with. I am getting very into podfic, more than I ever have been before - I am properly seriously recording one of my favourite Torchwood fics atm and if it goes well (though my American accent is so poor it is actually shaming to a point that goes to comical and then right beyond it back to embarrassing!) then I am going to do MOAR. But I probably shouldn't sign up for a podfic challenge... *waits to be talked into it I am expecting to be quite easy to talk into this*

Hee I am SLY and SNEAKY! :D And I should probably stop slipping onto lj and either just say 'HECK I AM DOING IT I AM SURE IT WILL BE FINE' or be sensible and stop because I am kind of doing both at the moment and it's a bit faily. :P

OH MY GOD DOCTOR WHO I AM SO MIXED UP AND CONFUSED AND I BASICALLY WANT IT TO BE SATURDAY AND THEN AUTUMN STRAIGHTAWAY BECAUSE I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS STUFF!

It is the LOVELIEST. :D I am really enjoying it, though also being disturbed by how high-pitched my voice is! If I ever get it finished you can totally hear it and tell me how wrong I am doing it.

That is quite woeful. :( But possibly also a good thing as I probably need no more distractions from my life having signed up to a lot of fic challenges lately and also planning to finally write my epic Martha-really-married-Tom-this-is-my-personal-canon-and-the-world-must-know Doctor Who fic this summer. So it is sad but I will at least be able to have uninhibited appreciation of everyone else's podfic! :)

Thank you darling wife, you are fabulous. <3 I have continued the sneaky by downloading all the mixes you did already and I LUFF THEM, they are beautiful and fabulous and I spent a lot of time dancing around my bedroom to Isi's happy mix yesterday to stop myself from crying over revision. :)
