S I just got back from seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

And I really need to talk about it because the friend I went with has gone home and my boyfriend has been very patient with my squee but really couldn't care less.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH.

I AM SO HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING THEY DID, OMG.
I propose that those of us who have seen it play a game.

Pick 5 moments/performances/lines that you loved. And then we will ~discuss.

Here are mine to start us off

1. The sheer subtle creepy of Hermione disappearing from her parents life through the photographs.

2. The fact that everyone in my cinema cheered and whooped as the music started.

3. The Soviet style of the anti muggle propaganda

4. Luna. <3. But mostly her dance with her Dad

5. Runcorn doing DanRad's loping walk.

OK GO

WASN'T IT JUST AMAZING?!

1. The Tale of the Three Brothers. OMFG I never imagined it could be so amazing! I was wondering how they were going to do it and that animation (plus Emma Watson's gorgeous narration) blew it TOTALLY OUT OF THE WATER

2. Emma Watson. She was amazing, I was so massively impressed by her acting the whole film long.

3. Ron/Hermione OMG SO CUTE! Her teaching him piano when he's just staring at her and him wiping the blood from her cheek and misinterpreting the perfume comment (LOL Hermione why are you still putting on perfume whilst on the run?!) it was just...so adorable.

4. The locket/Ron's horror. Apart from the surprise spiders which made me scream quite embarrasingly, it was really well done. Disturbing and creepy and awesome, especially the enthusiasm of the Harry/Hermione kiss. I loved their awesome shiny body paint!

5. Harry and Ron having a chat whilst Hermione was outside and Harry tries out the new wand. 'Engorgio! Oh SHIT REDUCTO!' (or whatever the second spell was) and Hermione being all 'what's going on?' It was just really funny and great.

BASICALLY THE WHOLE FILM ROCKED. Even the massively cringey Harry/Hermione dance (omg could Daniel Radcliffe be any more of a dork?) and the lame fades-to-black that made me feel like I was watching TV and the fact Dobby got buried ON A SANDY BEACH WHERE HE WILL BE WASHED OUT TO SEA AT THE NEXT HIGH TIDE. It was all made up for in sheer epicness and win. We all said when we came out that we could totally have sat through the second part right after no problem.

Love!

ALSO I feel I must tell you about how ITV aired the first film this evening, so my flatmate and I watched it and almost choked ourselves laughing because they're all SO TINY AND SQUEAKY. And adorable. I absolutely cannot believe how zoomingly fast we have all grown up and that cute baby Dan, Rupert and Emma are all actual adults playing adults doing kissing and stuff.

YAAAAAAY!

1. YES, it was so great. I heard that David Yates just gave the whole thing over to a totally different director and said, "Go for it, knock yourself out" which is also amazing. The whole shadow puppet fable things was just AMAAAAZING.

2. YES. She is suddenly SO AWESOME. Like, she was funny and the bit where she was like, "no actually I am just highly logical which allows me to see past (extraneous?) detail" I was just like, YES, THAT IS MY HERMIONE.

3. Ahhhhhh the piano scene was SO GREAT. Me and my friend were just going AWWWWWWW the whole time. His tiny adoring face. You could see the hearts in his eyes. SO GREAT *ships FOREVER*

4. SO GOOD. So much of the creepy stuff in this movie was unexpectedly SPINE CHILLING. It was so cool the way they did the whole Uncanny Valley thing with H&H. There was an interview with DanRad where he was like, "EMMA WATSON KISSES LIKE AN ANIMAL" which, just, lol forever.

5. AH YES, I lovedloved that bit! Silly teenage boys. My whole cinema laughed really hard at that.

LOVE

I was so impressed by Emma Watson too! I was near calling out, "HOLY CRAP HOW ARE YOU SO GOOD NOW, EMMA? <3" Plus she was so adorable with Rupert! And OMG, the perfume got me laughing so hard. :D "Oh, I'm on the run and in hiding, now where's my perfume?" There were so many downright stupid things of that kind. I know a lot of them were from the book, and they all made me giggle a LOT. Although I thought that the perfume scene was reaaaally creepy, which was mostly due to Nick Moran. <3

#4 - oh yeeeees! So awesome! #5 too!

And the atmosphere was so great where I saw it. Tons of awesome fans watching the film = <3.

4. The husband was also NOT A FAN OF THE SURPRISE SPIDERS.

5. I laughed my ass off during that scene. LOLboys! Husband snickered when Ron handed him the wand and said something like "it's not much. [...] 10 inches..." and I just knew he was thinking "that's what she said!"

OMG THE THREE BROTHERS! Was just exquisite. I'd hardly even wondered how they'd do that stuff, and it was breath taking! That's how fairytales ought to be, always.

The Hermione/Ron bits were love. Literally. I've never been particularly passionate about Hermione/Ron but I was full of squee for them throughout. So cute. !!!

When shall we hit up the IMAX? :D
