Hey you guys!

Not dead, or time travelling. Just faily.

So, other stuff forthcoming. But, whatever, I just want to catch up with everyone, say hi, hang out, you know the kind of thing.

This last weekend I spent with my three ex housemates. I hate just calling them my friends because I lived with them for a long time - with Belle for the best part of 4 years, actually -  and it feels inadequate to use such a catch all word as "friends" that I use for people who have not nursed me through tonsillitis, seen me naked, sung along to whole of the Sound of Music, talked me through my dissertation and know who the Invisible Friends are. You can find out more about them in a rambly thing I wrote about moving out of my last house.

Anyway, they all live in London now. Wren lives on a canal boat that her boyfriend rebuilt from practically nothing, which is kind of hilarious and bohemian, and very cool. She has just got a job at Hampton Court Palace. Belle is tutoring after finishing an intern-ship at UNICEF, and wants to be an English teacher, and Sal is going to do voluntary work overseas. I don't see them as much as I'd like.

It was a very cool weekend. I got there on Friday, by coach. I seem to have perfected the art of not making people want to sit next to me on the bus, which is a life skill and probably also a troubling reflection on my ability to look like a crazy person.

We managed to get free beers in a Cuban bar, which was a better reflection on all of us, and had pizza and concerned our fellow diners by appearing to talk in code and making very loud excited noises about everything, especially the puddings. We also talked about my ongoing unemployment.

Belle *very serious*: Have you considered a life of crime?
Me: Um...
Belle: My boss at UNICEF asked me that!
Wren: You do have a very deceptive face. Just promise you won't go into terrorism.
Me: I was thinking something more along the lines of international jewel thief.
Wren: I'm sure it's a very glamorous life and not at all dangerous.
Me: Exactly. Now I know what to put on my Career Objectives.

Me and Wren were staying in the spare room in Belle's house, and even though we were both really tired, in the best tradition of the sleepover, we stayed up really late talking about nonsense.

Wren: Who is that guy who sings 'Summer of '69'?
Me: Bon Jovi? Oh, no, Bryan Adams. I get them confused.
Wren: Oh yes. I get him confused with Phil Collins.
Me: But they aren't anything alike! One has bad hair and is Canadian and the other is the fat drummer from Genesis. It's not like you are getting him confused with Ryan Adams.
Wren: There is also Ryan Adams? Who is he?

And so then I sung a lot of songs by people who were Big In The 90s. I'm still not sure if Wren knows who Ryan Adams, but my version of 'Baby, When You're Gone' was pretty good for 1.30am, if I say so myself.

On Saturday, over breakfast and Earl Grey tea, we looked at election maps and tried to work out what the hell had happened in our national election. The answer, No one Knows! Which is... confusing. Frankly. But it was interesting to see all the speculation, and also to mock the Conservatives. It's always a fun game, but tempered greatly by the thought of David Cameron representing our nation to the world. So. Upsetting.

We went to Covent Garden for lunch, which was awesome as usual. On the way there all my friends were very harsh about tourists on the Tube and I tutted at them and reminded them of their hick roots. Although, it is annoying when people stop suddenly in the middle of the corridor because they are lost. God, I'm such a hypocrite. While waiting for Sal and her boyfriend in the café we managed to accidentally steal a chair from Noted Comedian Frank Skinner.

Then we went to The British Library. It was AMAZING. Their Treasures of the Library exhibition is incredible! I saw the original copy of Jane Eyre. JANE EYRE in Charlotte Bronte's own hand. And Jane Austen's early writing and the first draft of Tess of the D'Ubervilles with crossings out and rewrites. It was so cool. We had so much fun. I love my geeky friends and our massive amounts of dorky glee.

Then we went back and made lasagne and Wren filled me in on about a year of Home and Away. It's a seriously ridiculous Australian soap opera that we used to watch together. It mostly consisted of finding out which of the characters had slept with which others, who had died and who had been allowed to live Summer Bay and have a normal life.

Wren: And so she got cancer and died and now her brother has come back oh and do you remember Martha well her boyfriend was thought to be dead only he wasn't and she has only just found out...
Me: Did she have to go stare pensively at the sea?
Wren: For like, a whole episode. She just watched the sea and cried.
Me: I love Home And Away.
Belle's Boyfriend (who has never seen a single episode in his life): What about Bob?
Wren: What?
Me: Oh, he's dead.
*about a minute later*
BB: What about Dave?
Me: Oh, he's dead.
BB: How sad.
Me: Yeah. He drowned looking pensively at the sea.

On Sunday we went to Brick Lane market and people watched and clothes watched, which is like people watching only with more emphasis on their outfits. We had coffee and tea about once an hour because it was so cold. I also lusted after a lot of really gorgeous steampunk jewellery, including some lovely pocketwatch pendants.

All in all it was most delightful! On the bus back I curled up with some podfic (<3) and then wrote some fic. It was probably for the that no one came to sit next to me. I find it hard to write with someone looking over my shoulder.

Since being back I have caught up on my best new show (Over The Rainbow! My love knows no bounds!) and started on Kaz's best show. She sent me all of Season 2 of Supernatural on DVD. I was warned about the shows extremely poor attitude to women (someone once described it as "the show that will not suffer a bitch to live") so I went in with very low expectation. However, NO ONE WARNED ME THAT IS TERRIFYING. Holy hell. I watched some episodes alone and at night and this was a very, very bad plan. I scare easily and dislike horror movies. AHH.

Well, that is what I have been up to? How about y'all? I have missed you! Have you done or seen anything cool? Are you okay? Is there anything you want to ask me?

LET'S CATCH UP.

Hey hey hey Lal, not gonna comment coherently because I am hopped on tea and also nerves, but looks like you had a super lovely weekend and it makes me even more want to make that September trip, so so.
What is Over The Rainbow? Sounds like something I'd love to watch:)
Oh god, Supernatural, I couldn't watch even one episode without cringing, hiding behind my cat, and regularly pressing forward. Bring on the rainbows and j2 au stories by [livejournal.com profile] longsufferingly, I say. *founds the squeamish club*

Hello!

You should come see! There is also stuff by Shakepeare and Freud and all sorts of cool geeky delights :D

It's a BBC talent show where they are trying to cast the part of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. All the girls in it are super talented and the whole thing is totally delightful and lovely and everyone loves each other very much. <3

Seriously! I am sleeping with the light on. *joins your club*

This sounds like one of the best weekends ever (except that the 90s sucked, musically). Seriously, your housemates are amazing. ASK YOUR ROOMMATE HOW SHE GOT AN INTERNSHIP WITH UNICEF AND WHO SHE HAD TO MURDER/BLOW TO DO SO, PLEASE. I MEAN REALLY. Ah they sound epically cool, I am v v happy for your weekend <3

I have not done anything cool except get callbacks for Viola and Olivia in TW tomorrow night. And also I am living with friends for a few days and they make me shrimp pad thai and I am really undeserving and I wrote an LJ entry about how much I love them (though I prefer your method a lot more). And also it has been one year since Kenya!

Home and Away sounds terrifying. I always love Bartlet's quote about soaps from the West Wing: "Do these people have jobs? They seem to have an awful lot of free time in the middle of day."

It was amazing. If only it had been sunny it would truly have been one of the Best Everever. Heee! I think she mostly just projected an air of ruthless efficiency combined with a sympathetic nature. It's a winning combo. Wait! She actually said she thinks it was because she went to her final interview having been really sick and nearly having lost her voice, and she was just so grateful not to be mute that she wasn't nervous, and they were all impressed by her determination.

Although that is maybe not so useful advice.

Callbacks are super cool. Come on, you know there is nothing cooler to me than Shakespeare. Good luck! Not that you need it. Do you wish to be gender confused or grief maddened? :D

My method is madness *g*

Home and Away is kind of great but crazy. It's only really fun to watch with other people and mock all kinds of hell out of.

The West Wing is on my "To Watch" list. It is number one. My boyfriend and I have tragic couply plans about how we are going to marathon it when we move in together (because we will have no money to go out! Such fun!)

I'm going to take a minute out from panicking over finals and packing to respond to your post, in the hope it will force my heart rate to TAKE A CHILL PILL, because lord knows there's nothing I enjoy more than talking to people that I <3.

Your friends do indeed sound fabulous, although I must confess that, despite having grown up in the 90s, I am virtually incapable of recognizing any songs from that particular decade - which causes a lot of my friends to give me frequent looks of horror whenever I do not know whatever song they happen to be reminiscing about. Actually, when I think about it, that entire decade is just a blur of learning times tables and wandering around my yard playing imagination games. Apparently my childhood was not interesting enough for my brain to bother actually remembering it, so... that's nice. (And I must confess, the only artist who I recognized from your list was Phil Collins, and then only because he did the music for Tarzan.)

Also, HOORAY FOR STEAMPUNK JEWELRY. I intend to buy myself a bracelet (or similar) as a graduation present to myself in three years - so gorgeous, yet so expensive.

And, yes, you knew this was coming - Supernatural! Yeah, I must admit, what your friend says about women is true, and that's probably the best way I've ever heard it put. But to be fair, s.3 has two smokin' ladies, even if one of them is randomly British, which is kind of odd in a show that is so absolutely American as Supernatural. (Not in the McDonald's way, the 1950s-small-town way.) But s.3 Ruby is SO AWESOME, it's crazy, and I promise you will love her. (Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for s.4 Ruby, who could go die in a hole for all I care.) And it's not necessarily that they don't have fabulous ladies... they just don't stay alive for very long. (Ellen is cool, though, and Jo's pretty decent, if you like her personality type.)

And I know that you adore ladies somewhat more than I do (I mean, I love awesome female characters, but I don't actively seek them out or necessarily need them to be in everything I watch or read), but I do feel like Supernatural would not be the same story (and have the same beautiful story parallels and similarities and conflicts) if it was, say, Dean and Samantha Winchester. I mean, since character determines story in a good book/movie/show, this of course makes it extremely difficult for me to imagine SPN any other way. Admittedly, there are limited numbers of female side characters and that could have been changed, but at the same time, there aren't that many recurring male characters. I can think of... two that are still alive currently in s.5 (and who knows if they'll still be around come the season finale on Thursday). While all the female characters eventually die, be it over the course of one episode or at the end of a whole season, most of the male characters tend to eventually kick the bucket as well. I mean, EVERYONE dies on this show, not just the ladies, so... I can't say I'm entirely convinced that Supernatural is unfairly guy-oriented.

Butting in for great SPN love :D *waves*

I agree that S3 Ruby was pretty much fantastic, though I must say that Gen!Ruby grew on me-- especially given the way things unfurled in the end of S4 which at least made me see the character as having done something interesting. Or maybe I was just shallow and her looks and ...certain scenes (LAL I AM TRYING TO BE VAGUE FOR YOU) with Sammy sucked me in. I also liked that one episode where we saw the "different" Rubys as well-- almost made you wish they stuck with that awesome slightly older lady. She was kickass. And Ellen is the best and more people need to write Ellen/Dean, because there is no way in hell that did not happen at least once. But I think my ultimate favorite would have to be all the new things we found out about Mary Winchester though, now that was a reveal that I felt was great and went against the predominant fan-expectations/thoughts about John and Mary's relationship at the time. Also, it added more sauce to that epic Winchesterian sundae of mutual self-sacrifice and never ever just lying down and giving the fuck up, even if that would be the sensible thing to do-- so obviously I am all up on that :Db.

And since you mentioned how SPN would be different if either brother (or both) were born girls-- have you read some of the fic about it out there yet? There are some pretty good ones out there, I think [livejournal.com profile] musesfool writes nice girl!Sam, [livejournal.com profile] rivkat also has a few with both brothers as girls and [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock is currently writing a Deanna!WIP that is a kind of S4 and general AU that is making me swoon with every part and eagerly await for a new one. Ask Lal about the bothersome emails filled with !!!!!!!!! I sent her XDD

...wow this is way more typing than I intended to at first and now I'm REALLY tired, but uh. Yeah. Hope you don't mind the rampant squee!

There can ALWAYS be more SPN love! I did find s.4 Ruby slightly more interesting over the course of the s.4 finale... but besides that she just didn't seem proactive or snarky enough - at least, not in comparison to s.3 Ruby, who kicked ass and took names. Maybe I was just bitter to start off with, which is probable - but, I mean, how can you take a girl who has such fabulous lines as, "Does anyone have a breathmint? Some guts spilled in my mouth while I was killing my way in here," and make her into someone so... just... meh. Of course, personal preference probably comes into play here, but I still just felt like they could've tried to make her still somewhat match the character of the previous season.

And yes! Mary Winchester is the tops, and I so did not ever see that coming. (I appreciate plot twists that actually surprise me!) I wish we could see more of her... but then, that would be difficult, considering that she happens to be dead. Ah well.

I can't say I've much liked any gender-switching fics I've read in the past for other fandoms, but since you recommend these so highly, I'll give them a go when I'm back from vacation in a week or so and see if my prejudices cannot be changed.

And rampant squee is always welcome! That is, after all, what I do in response to every single one of Lal's posts.

:D well it is lovely to hear from you, despite the panic. I can't say anything of use, really, except that I wish you all the luck in the world, and that I have total faith in your smarts.

They are almost too fabulous. They put me to shame! I only wish I did not remember the music of the 90s. I also suspect that this is one of the times where my having a few years on you makes a difference. Sadly, the lyrics to many a terrible pop song are engraved indelibly on my brain. Woe. I did a charming version of "You'll Be In My Heart" for my friend in my explanation. I still remember ALL the words to that. I am such a loser. I had it on a compilation CD that I almost wore out playing, and pretended only to like for the 'cool' songs. But I never skipped Phil Collins. Nowadays I just embrace my dark, pop song loving, side. Or try to!

HOORAY! Steampunk jewellry is the reason I cannot go on Etsy any more. There is so much pretty stuff. I had be dragged away from the stall that had lots of teeny tiny playing card necklaces. Also cogs. I love cogs! That sounds like an excellent plan. I think I bought myself some books and some shoes?

TBH, I had received a lot of warning, and if I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have noticed it so much. But. Yeah. It's more the 'dead, evil or victim' thing that I had issue with. However, I am still hooked. I mean, currently, nothing so horrific or ostentatious has happened that I am mad (and I can still love shows even when I am mad at them, but that's another issue) although I know that it gets worse.

Yeah, no, I wouldn't want to change Sam or Dean. Although there are some amazing fics, like [livejournal.com profile] kaiserkuchen pointed out. I would especially recommend Pru's Wayfinding. It's amazing, totally amazing and we have exchanged many a blissed out email about the sheer mindblowing quality of the whole thing. The thing I find interesting is how much it feels like fic? IDK. I guess it plays with tropes a lot, and does h/c about once every couple of weeks. And the music is great! No one told me ANY of these things. I am still mad that no one warned me I should not watch it in the dark, alone. I thought it would be more Buffy levels of scary. THIS IS NOT THE CASE, OMG. The one where Jo turns up and there is that ghost in the walls abducting girls. *hides*

Your everyone dies point is well made. I am pretty much spoiled for everything that happens, to a certain extent, so yeah. I get that. Everyone including the main characters, although they all get to play the Great Soul Swapshop and bounce back...

I think it is unfairly guy orientated, but I am not going to dismiss it for that. That's okay. Some things are, and can be awesome, still.

I can totally see why there is shipping though. Jeez. Co dependant doesn't even START to cover it. Also there is a pretty good level of acting throughout. And Dean (now that I have got Dean and Sam right in my head, it might take me a while to get Jensen and Jared. If they wanted me to tell them apart, they shouldn't have such similar names) is especially good. He cries REALLY WELL. Okay, so that sounds weird. But he does! I had moments! And I am cold hearted. It is fact.

OKAY, I think I am done now.

Thank you! Actually, I did manage to survive, with no major disasters (that I know of) - and now I'm free from all scholarly responsibilities for the next three months of my life! Hurrah!

And don't worry - I probably still know all the lyrics to You'll Be In My Heart as well (definitely not because I listen to my gigantic Disney mix with great regularity, no, perish the thought), so you are not alone!

Really, it gets worse? Did whoever told you this tell you when? Because I am genuinely intrigued that I could completely fail to notice such an event, if that really were the case. I mean, I do tend to zone out a bit when it comes to feminist issues (it's quite pathetic how little I am able to get incensed about feminist issues, so long as no one is stopping me from, say, voting or wearing pants - although that did happen once (the wearing pants bit), and I was quite ticked off about it), so that could be a very possible explanation as to why, but I still feel like I would've picked up on something major, at least in thinking back over things.

In regards to how much Supernatural feels like fanfiction - I have to tell you, Lal... YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET. (Just wait till s.4. It will blow your mind.) That's definitely one of my favorite things about it, cheesy though it may be. I feel like that's part of the 1950s-small-town feel for me, though - like a story you recognize, even though it's never been told to you before. Even if it's exciting and new, you still feel like you know what things SHOULD happen, and it's all part of the fun to see what happens when they do. And, oh yes, that episode. I kind of forget now how terrifying s.1-s.3 are, but I definitely remember cowering in fear for that one.

Ah, so you're a Dean girl, I take it? My roommate and I are Sam girls (well, I am now a Castiel girl, though she remains faithful to good old Sammy - I still adore him, but s.4 caused him to lose a bit of his shine for me), but my other SPN watching friend is definitely a Dean girl, which I can totally understand, because Jensen Ackles' face is PERFECTION.

I do feel like it's rather shocking how filled with quality this show is, though. I mean, I know this is a complete mismatch of genres and whatnot, but I just think of the quality of the writing on a show like Glee, which is making thousands (possibly millions) of dollars and has clearly exceptionally high production costs, to the quality of the writing on Supernatural and it just... I mean, the staggering gap there is truly overwhelming. (Though I must note, the latest episode of Glee was fantastic and I have no complaints. FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS ENTIRE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON.) And yeah, it's slightly cheesy, and their special effects aren't that great, but that's more due to budget than to lack of love and commitment to creating a truly fabulous show. I guess I just feel like it doesn't get the recognition it deserves, just because the channel that broadcasts it has no clue what they're doing with their marketing department.

Yay you! And YAY no scholarly responsibilities.

Disney songs are always appropriate. Trufax.

Well, in that all the awesome ladies die. So far no one that I was particularly attached too has died. Only Victims of the week and um, one of the other Special Psychic Children. Ava? Oh god, why has my naming-fu deserted me. So, at least at the end of my Season, all the regular ladies are still around. Which I know will not always be the case. I grew up with a somewhat militantly feminist mother, and now cannot escape it! Basically.

like a story you recognize, even though it's never been told to you before.

So true. Even when the plot is all kinds of formulaic in terms of the monster of the week stuff, it's still worth it just to see them react to it. And it feels really knowing. Which, it is. I mean, it is written from a place where it plays with tropes and expectations, and it knows that it is playing us. I kind of like my shows to be self aware (see Glee. More on that later). The small town stuff is really interesting for me, because obviously its not something that I can exactly relate to, but that feel, I got that.

I don't know, really. I think S2 is very much All About Dean, so it's hard not to be? Do I have to choose? I CHOOSE BOTH. Although now I will be able to remember which one is which by the handy sentence "Jensen Ackles' face is PERFECTION". I will not be forgetting that in a hurry! I should really see about finding some more seasons to watch :D

I felt that way about Glee too! IDK, they just seemed to get very carried away the first half back after this CRAZY amount of success. Where is my continuity! My character development! What about the rest of the cast! I love Kurt SO MUCH, though. Kurrrrrrt.

The writing of SPN is great, I think it does GUYS so well. Stupid, emotionally crippled guys. *g*

Sorry this is epically late - week-long vacations in far-off lands will do that, it seems. Mostly I just want to assure you that, yes, you can of course choose both. The terms "Sam girl" and "Dean girl" just amuse me because of a particular scene from episode 4.18... which will blow your mind, once you get there. By the way, do you have the dvds for the other seasons? Because you can actually find all the episodes here: http://www.iwatchsupernatural.com/2009/09/supernatural-season-1.html (Just change the number in the html to specify what season you want.)

KURT IS THE BEST. I totally love Artie and Puck and Mercedes too, though, mostly because their voices are genuinely incredible (why doesn't Puck have more songs? I am baffled.) and their characters are actually interesting.

I actually get to try my hand at writing SPN fic this week for my friend's b-day present... which will be fun, in a horribly challenging sort of way. Still, trying to pin down character's voices for the first time is always something to look forward to, as much as it is something to fear. Bring it on, I suppose.

Oh man, this entry has so much for me to reply to!

First off, your housemates sound awesome with awesome jobs. Secondly, the idea of David Cameron being the public face of the UK to the internationally community is deeply embarrassing. And it's going to do nothing to dispel the stereotype that we still worship the monarchy and go to Eton (except for the poor people, who are, of course, chimney sweeps). Third, and more awesomely - I adore Brick Lane. The fashion there is too good to pass up gawking at. You've given me a craving to pop up there on a shopping trip. Yay Brick Lane!

I really liked those~ AND THAT SEASON FINALE AHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH <3333 Speaking of finales, it's happening this week already (if I am not mistaken) and I am already super exciiiiiiiiited and full of trepidation about who is gonna kick the bucket... WE DON'T HAVE MANY OTHER NON-WINCHESTER CHARACTERS LEFT AT THIS POINT klsjksajf aaugh.

OTHER THAN THAT I enjoyed reading this deliciously long Lal!post of Lal!awesome aka LALWESOME (IN MY HEAD I PRONOUNCE IT "LAL-SOME"). Your roomies are seriously amaaaaazing! Houseboat dwellers and UNICEF people, what what! And getting to see those books sounds wonderful and reminds me that I have actually yet to read Jane Eyre myself. WHOOPS. Have started on A Case of Exploding Mangoes though and every time I look at it I think of you :D

Speaking of 90's awesome-- please tell me you did at least a song from Ace of Base or Roxette. THEY WERE MY JAMS FOR THE BETTER PART OF like, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TIL MIDDLE SCHOOL til okay I still listen to some of the songs now. Ahem. "CRUEL SUMMER" IS A MASTERPIECE, and I don't even care that Ace of Base just covered it XDD

ahhh and I see that you are online right now but I can't Skype because my eyes are falling shut lskhdfkashf I WILL TRY TOMORROW and hope that our schedules magically align. I'm technically home aloooone at the moment and thus feel a bit weird about spending the entire day cooped up in Andy's office, also the neighbors mistakenly feel that they need to keep me company but whatever XDD AJ IS BEING WEIRDLY AFFECTIONATE THOUGH and by that I mean he stalks me and deigns to let me pet him for 5 seconds before running away out of arm's reach lol what

PS DID YOU WATCH NEW GLEE YET?? KURT'S VERSION OF ROSE'S TURN IS THE BEST THING EVER
PPS THIS ICON CONTAINS A CANON QUOTE ABOUT THE WINCHESTERS. Oh how I love my show when it is not currently being hinky about women <333

It is my new favourite thing. It's a BBC talent show where they are trying to cast the part of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. All the girls in it are super talented and the whole thing is totally delightful and lovely and everyone loves each other very much. <3 I LOVE IT.

Yesyesyes to the vampires! And also the Djinn. Dean just wants a family and security. Aw, honey. He's such a softie :D. OMG THE FINALE OMG DEVIL'S GATE DEMON SAM DEALS BABY SAM DEEEEAN JOOOOOHN ELLLLLEEEEEEEEEN. Also, I am totally on board with Ellen/Dean. Totally.

Whatever, they can kill of Winchester again, right? It's practically routine *g*. What about that pretty faced angel that keeps hanging about.

LALSOME! You are such a darling! I am totally going to write about seeing Adam at some point, I am just being REALLY lazy about it. Sorry/ You should read Jane Eyre! I ADORE it, despite not being a big gothic novel fan. Kind of the opposite. But I think maybe that has something to do with the fat that I read it when I was very young, and sort of imprinted on it, duckling stylee.

YAY! No one else in the world seems to have read that book and it is so great! :D:D:D

I was only singing songs by artists that Wren and I got confused about. But NOW I want to sing Ace of Base. Sigh. At least it might get "Carry On, My Wayward Son" out of my head. Although that seems unlikely. But if I am stuck singing bad 90s tunes for the next week, I am blaming you, lady.

Okay, so tomorrow I am volunteering in the afternoon maybe? But I could totally get up earlier and we could skype then? I MISS YOOOOOOOOOOU. As long as you are having fun!

I DID AND IT WAS SO GOOD. KURRRRRT. They seem determined to make me cry, dammit. One of these days that boy and his dad will break me. I feel it. It was cool to see Puck and Santana sing, too!

OMG CANON QUOTE. It is totally true though. Like I said to Ari, co dependant doesn't even BEGIN to cover those two.
