Well now.

People who know me will be utterly unsurprised to hear about this.

I write a lot of blog posts that I don't post. Like, a lot. I plan them all out in my head or sometimes even in Word, and then leave them be. But Lal, I hear you say (in a whisper of pixels) why would you do this?

Firstly, because I am the world's biggest procrastinator. Without proper deadlines/encouragement, and frankly, with them, I just do not get shit done. It's an issue.

Secondly, because these posts are not my usual "here is some stuff that has happened to me recently!" They are more Thinky Thoughts about all sorts of things that I get into my head. And, I'm not used to writing like that and not sure if anyone would be interested. And yes, I know, it's my own LJ. But sometimes I fret. It's an issue.

So I figured I would chat to y'all about it. Because then you can make me do it, because then you can tell what you would actually care about reading, because then you can remind me of all the other things I have said I'd blog about and, er, never have. :D! You will note that there is no actual "All of the Above" Option. This is because I am evil. But you can always elaborate in comments!

Argh, the poll only allows me to choose one option for the blog topics! How can I choose?

:D, I am so evil. Falala.

Well, you could always cheat and tell me your choices in comment form. But I couldn't possible advocate cheating on my own poll ;)

WELL I NEVER, HOW DARE YOU INSINUATE THAT I WOULD CHEAT. I AM SHOCKED - SHOCKED - TO HEAR SUCH A THING.

Historical crushes, judgery among women, fictional women, fic recs - to hell with it, all of them except American Idol. And despite never having watched American Idol, I would still probably read that with enthusiasm.

LR, you love ANTP. I'm sure you'd ike American Idol

ANT...P? I can only assume you mean ANTM (and that is because it's a thing of beauty).

You are indeed a tiny hive mind. :D

If I could edit polls I might give y'all a "a selection of the above that I will explain later" option...

So I FAILED to notice the 'TYRANNY NO TICKY BOXES' one before choosing so know that I would TOTALLY have picked that had I seen it. I would be interested in almost all of those things, because you are an Awesome and Interesting person (of slight crazy but then so are we all) and have Awesome and Interesting Thoughts! Which I would like to hear!

I hope you do not feel bad about not posting all the time (unlike some crazy people you know who cannot stop posting about their boring lives every day OMG HANNAH SHUT UP ALREADY Ahem) because your posts when they come are always awesome and exciting and cool. And much better to post when you feel like it than because you feel you should.

You are about the fifth of my friends to say you plan your posts. Which makes me feel a bit horrendous for just opening the window and splurging whatever comes into my head out and pressing 'post'. I am...not a very considerate blogger! I am very impressed with your efficiency. :)

LOVE (I post with my sexy new Matt Smith icon to emphasis the love. Oohhh so pretty!)

Ahaha, no, this makes me happy! You picked an option! That is very delightful of you to say, my darling.

I do not feel bad, really. Sometimes I feel like I am slightly wasting the opportunity to, you know, record my life and all that. I love hearing about your life! Seriously. Our blogs ARE our own, as much as I get :/ about it sometimes. I don't comment nearly as much as I should but, it's lovely to hear about your life, and it will be lovely for the future you to have it all written down.

I don't often plan my posts, not the everyday ones. Not really. But I have usually thought about the entry before I make it. Because I am crazy? Each to their own.

AAH MATT SMITH. <3 The Beast Below, Han! :D!

Oh no, it's not a wasted opportunity at all. After all, you do record quite a lot of your life here (the important parts anyway) and you are one of a minority anyway - most people don't keep a diary or a blog or whatever. Which I do think is quite sad because it does help you remember stuff. (And I like looking back at the stuff I posted even just a year ago and cringing at how lame I was! But that may just be me, you were always cool. :P) But you don't have to post all the time at all.

There is no 'should' about you commenting - I still don't really expect comments so any I get is always just a surprise! I am glad I do not fill your life completely will depressing blather. :)

No, because you are sensible! :D Posterity will see you organised and efficient and eloquent!

MATT SMITH IS JUST <3 <3 <3 Although The Beast Below I feel a bit :\ about. Which sucks, but I have issues. Many issues. In my 'dipping into Who fandom this is SO AWESOME AND SCARY AND GREAT' I have had zillions of circly discussions about it the past couple of days and still can't work out how I feel about it.

But YAY Matt Smith and Karen Gillan!

You are, as many other people have noted, a horrible person for making us all choose, but I eventually settled on your historical crushes, because I think those are always highly amusing, not to mention educational. (Besides, I can relate - I STILL have a huge crush on Virgil, and not only is he 2000 years dead, but he is also, y'know, gay.)

You know, I think the "taking time to think about things" approach rather than just the pure journal use is an interesting conundrum. Many a time I have felt like doing the first option... but then I realize that nobody would read it aside from me, and while it's good to think critically from time to time, there's no reason to spend hours writing it all down when you've got about seven other things you should be doing. I might compile all my thoughts on Rook and Thom into one cohesive essay-type thing before Dragonsoul comes out, as my last little analysis on Room before all my hopes and dreams are torn apart, but who knows.

Mine is an evil laugh :D. I will admit, I do plan on writing them all at some point. Probably. Possibly. Heh, that is truly a hopeless historical crush, even in that category! It is actually the post I have been meaning to make for probably the longest. Since I was actually a history student!

Hmm, yes. This is what I worry about, basically. But I figure I might as well get them down somewhere and then maybe they will stop rattling round my head. OMG, yes, yes, more analysis. Please!

Well, I'm glad someone's enthusiastic about me analyzing Rook and Thom's patterns of connect and disconnect. I know it sounds utterly fascinating, right?

Thanks for the link, by the way! I am psyched to start reading (though I might have to finished rereading American Gods first, because Shadow's in the middle of his world tree voyage thing and IT'S EXCITING, especially since I haven't read this in a few years and I can't remember what happens next).

JESUS CHRIST WOMAN I WANT ALL OF THEM. Okay, so I was tied between the Mini-Skirts one and the Summer of Luh, but you should do all of these! They are excellent and I could not choose!

TYRANNY! I would love to read all of your blogging ideas, including the sidekicks who don't seem to be getting much love. But I love having a range of main and minor characters interracting (even ADULTS! *gasp*) and don't want anyone to be unappreciated or written of, so yeah.

Also, more positive feminism and discussion of how awesome women are is also good. Though I now worry slightly that you hate miniskirts? But probably you don't. But see, I am confused, so you should write a post and explain! XD

Oh, historical crushes. I ship Captain Jack Harkness/Lord Byron and would genuinely marry Keats. Oh, Keats. My heart.

Heh, I love that even non RBR people are picking tyranny. I love sidekicks with a deep and abiding love, and yes, well written ensembles are a really big deal to me too!

:D, I feel I can reveal the spoiler that I do not, in fact, hate mini skirts. I have been meaning to write this post for a hellava long time, ngl.

Ahaha, that is a most excellent ship! I have a strange relationship with Keats, as I do with most poetry, actually, in that I love some of his stuff and cannot be doing with others. Mostly, I have Issues with epic poetry. But that is just my own prejudice!

OMG you totally tricked everyone into voting for tyranny. FRAUDULENT ELECTION THROUGH AMBIGUOUS WORDING!

I suppose that's a good foundation for a tyrannical government...
