So on Tuesday it's Graduation! And I will be able to tick Number 45. off my list, Graduate with a 2.1. A 2.1! I am still overjoyed.

And I've already ticked off number 74., go on a girlie beach holiday. More on that another day!

SPAM THREAD, ENGLAND, NORTH BY NORTHWESTERN, DISSERTATION, BULGARIA

THE SPAM THREAD - I blame mcollinknight? TST is where my RL and fandom life combine in a facebook explosion of CAPSLOCKING and postcards. We like to make in-jokes, discuss the latest episodes of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report and generally chat about our lives. There are videos of pundits eating whipped cream and epic giggling bromances. T here are hugs for bad days and congrats on cool things and it is generally a fabulous, impossibly prolific thing. We are already on TST 2.0, as we are Just That Good. ILU all.

ENGLAND - If asked, it is where I say I'm from. But really, I've lived outside of England for more of my life than I've lived in it. "Where are you from?" is a complicated question for me, which I've rambled about before. I am, however, in many ways extremely stereotypically English. For example -
I love tea. Really, truly, madly deeply, and I will offer it as a solution to almost any issue.
I apologise to people who bump INTO me.
I root for the underdog. And I root for England. Except when England play South Africa, where I get to root for whoever is winning :D.

Also, as I type this, we've escaped with a draw in the First Ashes Test! Huzzah! *loves cricket forever and ever Amen*.

NORTH BY NORTHWESTERN - Oho, I totally blame Colline for this one. NbNW is a crazy college AU that started on rahmbamarama . Basically. It's a group of boys living in a dorm in the 80s, in Northwestern, Chicago. It's RL with a twist. The original series is a thing of beauty, nuanced and gorgeous and lovely, with killer lines and unusual metaphors and tangled emotion. And I love it. And it high-jacked my brain until I wrote a companion piece to it. I have three NbNW fics now, totalling more words than I've written for any other fandom. I'm sorry for stealing your world and your boys, C!

DISSERTATION - oh my poor ladies of Spam. They had to put up with months of me complaining about my Dissertation. Plus, of course, my poor long suffering housemates, and Nat, and people I met in the library, and by the end, anyone within my line of vision.

I learnt a lot. That 6000 words is more than you think. That I can carry ten books, comfortably. That of the ten books you drag home, only 4 will be of any real use. I mean, I also learnt a lot about my subject (French Revolutionary Propaganda). Mainly that the French Revolutionary Propagandists were obsessed with arses. There are whole chapters about scatalogical humour that I will never be able to unsee.

It very nearly killed me. But it was worth it to end up with something bound with my name on it.

BULGARIA- This is where I went on holiday with Belle, Sal and Wren. It was a wonderful week! Sunshine and cocktails and staying up late eating olives and chatting. When I sort out all my pictures, I will probably tell all, if you like?

THE SPAM THREAD (that I should comment to again lol whoops it's like I cannot be up-todate on ALL aspects of my internet life at times tss self) IS THE GREATEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF GREATNESS <333 Haaah it seems so ~long ago~ already back when I just recognized your name from seeing it in the comments section of C's LJ too. Our firstish convo was about Stephen Fry or something like that, right?

YOU GUYS ARE ALSO ALL SUCH BRAINIACS wtf it is making the faint embers of my long-extinguished nerd-soul want to flare up again ahhh how Austrian uni testing had crushed my spirit (I need small groups to flourish in AKA I can then tell who I need to beat, what I can do to pander to the Teacher (maybe) and how I can best do all of this. An exam taken by 899 other people is just so ... blargh XDD)

6000 WORDS IS A HELLUVA LOT THOUGH, it's so sad that what normally would be a middle-sized fic that can be read in a blink would be such a laborious goal to reach when writing academically. EVERY PAGE FULL IS A VICTORY, hooo boy.

ALSO I THOUGHT I'D LET YOU KNOW (as it will take me forever and a moon to properly blog about it) THAT I HAD BOUGHT TDL MY FIRST DAY IN BKK and just gotten around to finish reading it yesterday! I LIKED IT MUCHLY AND TOTALLY DIDN'T SEE THE TWIST COMING :DD I WANT THE SECOND BOOK ALREADYYYY

OH AND THIS IS TOTALLY SPOILING THE SURPRISE, BUT I WOULD RATHER HAVE NO SURPRISE AND UTMOST CATERING TO YOUR WHIMS, SO: GIMME A LIST OF ASIAN TEAS YOU ADORE, MISS ENGLISH, AND I WILL SEE WHAT I CAN COME UP WITH. I still owe you a packet of schwag, oh yes I do :DD

I CANNOT REMEMBER LIFE BEFORE THE EPICNESS OF THE SPAM. It was indeed about the great man himself. I LOVE HIM. Little did we know that was the beginning of a golden thing!

IKR? It took me like, 6 weeks to write my dissertation, and 5 days to write Jenn's fic, which was almost exactly the same amount of words! Very upsetting. And my poor Kaz, I hope that you feel better about uni. New year, new start and all that?

YAY TDL LOVE! DID YOU LOVE ALAN? THIS IS V. IMPORTANT.

I LOVED HOW PISSY AT EVERYTHING NICK WAS. I totally didn't get how people were all "he is kind of unlikeable and cold in the first few chapters etc etc" because I apparently was fascinated from the get-go, especially because you could totally sense the barely contained simmering rage?? that seemed to be running underneath his every thought. And I'd have been pissed in his situation, too! Though Mae was simply lovely and Jamie's reveal was a pleasant surprise.

AND ALAN. OMG. AND THEN THEY WEREN'T BROTHER-BROTHERS AFTER ALL and I was actually shocked that I ended the book without any pressing need to pair up anyone?? But I love the Nick&Alan relationship, regardless in any forms, this whole 'YOU ARE THE SOLE CENTER OF MY WORLD, YOU AND ME BB LETS DO THISSSS' thing is I believe one of my fictional kinks mmmmmh especially if they are siblings lolol I have been prepared well by certain manga and of course, my favoritest dysfunctional siblings THE WINCHESTERSSSS <33

THE FACT THAT ALAN HAS GUNS IS LIKE, ADDED ICING ON THE CAKE OF UNF. Do you have any shipping urges? I am seriously startled at the extent of my gen feelings. Though I did keep having mental pictures of a more demony!Nick basically shoving his head in Alan's lap for pettings, probably the influence of our damn dogs as I was trying to read the last bits I think but stilllllll :DD

AND I WENT OUT AND BOUGHT SOME TEA TODAY. I'LL JUST LEAVE THAT STATEMENT THERE, CHILLAXING IN THE WIND, BUILDING SOME SUSPENSE ;DD (no srsly i still need time to find cool postcards 'n stuff BUT THE FIRST STEP HAS BEEN TAKEN uhuhuhu)
