Hello! *waves* That was actually part of the original RPS discussion we had, about how before (I, at least had felt it) seemed weird, creepy, an invasion, just plain odd, why would you do that. And then how despite feeling this, I somehow found myself (and Lal took a similar route I believe) sliding inexorably down this slippery slope, and before you know it you are in an RPS fandom, and it was great. I mean, for me anyway, obvs not for everyone.
So a scary steep slide into a ball pit is actually a really accurate metaphor. Also, because its easy to get stuck in ball pits, and never want to leave :P
