AW IT'S SO CUTE. It's alright, you can write ridiculously adorable slash fic any day... because I WILL ALWAYS READ IT.
(Also, because you do seem to care about these things - "base" in the third paragraph should be spelled "bass." Unless that is some British thing where you even spell instruments differently, but I don't think so.)
So yes - even if you didn't, you know, blow my mind with stunning metaphor and allegory, any fic that brings a smile (or rather, numerous smiles) to my face clearly has its own merit. The crosswords were particularly lovely, particularly Eames' sentiment of "Sunday h8s me" (my dad does crosswords and we occasionally try to help and are exceptionally ineffective). And oh my god, music. I feel you have addressed a very important universal problem there. What is it about music that can be both such a strong bond and also such a source of petty frustration? (But I bet Arthur listens to Beethoven symphonies in his spare time. (Of course, so do I. Even if I am nowhere near as bamf as Arthur.))
