Ps. Am I too late? I hope not, because I kind of have something very little I'd love to see written, and it's quite silly, but...
It goes like this: I have never read the late Holmes stories, simply because they were not included in the translation I had. Thus, I never (until yesterday) knew this adorable passage: "The friends of Mr. Sherlock Holmes will be glad to learn that he is still alive and well, though somewhat crippled by occasional attacks of rheumatism. He has, for many years, lived in a small farm upon the downs five miles from Eastbourne, where his time is divided between philosophy and agriculture. (...)"
He keeps bees! Er. I'd dearly love to see a peak into the life of Holmes and his dear Watson as two cranky old gentlemen in a small farm. Poor Holmes and his rheumatism. I hope Watson makes it all better. I hope they have picnics in the back garden when Holmes drives another housekeeper away with his infuriating ways. I hope... I hope I'm not too ridiculous?
