Yes I realised yesterday that I had essentially freaked out and then disappeared! I went on holiday to see family, never fear.

The Lake District is still very much like that, yes, in places. All wilderness and delight. And, I am sure, excellent tea. I had Mars Bar Cheesecake in the lake District, so I have a high opinion of their tea rooms...
